Pros: The location was perfect. The resort was nice and lots of things for kids to do.
Cons: We were not given enough towels for everyone. We had to give security our drivers license every time we came thru. The beds were the noisiest I have ever heard in my entire life. The sheets seemed to be clean, but were stained.

This was my families first ever stay in a rental house while on vacation and with the poor experience we had, we will never do it again! I’d rather stay at a hotel where I can have daily room service or if inside with the room be moved to a different room.

All vents dirt/dust build up, blinds missing, A/C system was ****, no dish cloth or drying towels, couch was like sitting on floor ( bottom gone out of it), bed was so squeaky and uncomfortable, pool was dirty and no way to take depre out, all the lounge chairs were out back and all were broke, the amount of dust and dirt build up on mouldings was disgusting and carpet needs updating. Curtain rods hanging off the walls. What ever the pics showed online was the complete opposite when we arrived. I think it’s a total disgrace that people can rent these places out in this state and think it’s ok. We travelled a long distance and paid a lot of money and to arrive to that was disgraceful.

Location was nice. Furniture and beds need updating. Bed frames and box springs were extremely loud and obnoxious every move you made on the beds. The cleaning was very minimal, saw food on floor on some of the carpet areas. Found a few palmetto bugs running around inside when we were there. Overall okay experience.

Good house, great location, but needs many repairs. Pool chairs torn, curtain broken and need more dishes (example: four-bedroom house with just three glasses). Necessary renewal of bed and bath linen. Last two days without TV and internet even though I complained.

I was unimpressed with the security of the place. The back screen door to the pool area had a small hole cut out which one could easily unlock and have access to the area. When I told management, I was informed to keep the door unlocked for pool maintenance. The blinds were missing on the patio door, so you could see inside the property. Two of the four patio chairs were broken. No broom or mop in property. Vents had not been cleaned and had visible dust accumulation and I have allergies. The area rug in the living room had a corner lifted which my elderly mom tripped over and we had to tape it down to ensure it didn’t occur again. Broken towel rack in the upstairs guest bathroom. Water poured down from the roof when it rained in the pool area during a storm. Washer doesn’t agitate to clean clothes effectively and gets unbalanced easy. After a long drive, was unable to checkin to property at 4pm due to cleaning staff still was present. Had to wait another 45 minutes. Walls are scuffed and need repainting.

Storey Lake Resort is a central location. The amenities are great but a lot of people are at the resort. It make a huge difference to have your own pool. Regarding the unit, the kitchen is really well stocked - even an air fryer. The unit itself needs a deep cleaning. There was a visible layer of dust on all the baseboards and in the return. We found multiple long black hairs on the floor of two bathrooms. The walls are very marked from wear and tear and the bath mats should be thrown out and replaced with ones that can be washed after every stay. Two of the beds creek badly - every time you move and need to be replaced. Two of the patio lounge chairs were broken and we had to add water to the pool each day because there was obviously a leek. We didn’t have hot water in the kitchen and the can opener didn’t work. Keep in mind that this unit is priced lower the others of the same units. I guess you get what you pay for. We did report many of the issues to the management company and they remained unresolved during our stay. If they fix these things the unit would be great but I highly recommend that you confirm that they have addressed these issues before you stay. At minimum the cleanliness needs to be addressed.

The condo overall would rate a 6 on cleanliness, the carpets need to be cleaned, all the walls need painting, the air filters need to be cleaned, a good overall dusting but I would say the bathrooms were clean. We stayed in property prior to Xmas and found it very nice. The pool was heated and very clean. Location was awesome. Beds were ok and loved have laundry in condo. Only thing I’d change is taking carpet out, as some wear on it.

Our family of 6 (4 adults and 2 children) stayed at this villa for a week at the end of October. Our review of this property is mixed.

PROS: This villa is located very close to shopping and restaurants and an easy drive to Disney World and Universal. My grandchildren (ages 8 and 10) enjoyed the little private splash pool and their bedrooms decorated with Minion and Frozen comforters. The Storey Lakes Resort has several large pools and a playground, though we did not have time to use them.

CONS: Customer service and maintenance were very poor. Before our arrival, my message with questions went unanswered for several weeks, and I ended up calling the host to get answers. After we checked in, I was unable to get an answer to my call or leave a voicemail, so I texted the host about some maintenance issues that were never resolved. There were burnt out light bulbs in most of the villa’s table lamps, and we finally bought a couple of light bulbs. The living room television did not work properly, and the manager said it had been damaged by previous guests. The corner of the living room area rug curled up about 6 inches where we walked and caused several of us to trip and narrowly miss hitting our head on the coffee table; because no maintenance person came to fix this rug, we purchased duct tape to tape it down. The king and queen beds had very uncomfortable mattresses that should be replaced; my son-in-law had to sleep most of the night on the sofa. Very few supplies and no condiments are provided: only one garbage bag and one dishwaster pod were there when we arrived, along with one partial roll of paper towels and partial toilet paper rolls in each bathroom; we had to purchase all other supplies for the week and I was told that any supplies we left would be thrown out rather than made available for the next guests to use. I felt pool heating at $34 per day was expensive compared to other places we have rented.

When we arrived to the property we walked into the house not clean, the tv screen was broken, the back door handle to the pool area was broken, the closet door upstairs to the washer and dryer was broken and wouldn’t open and close properly, the curtain rod was bent, there was bandaid wrappers on the floor, were stains on the bed upstairs, someone’s deodorant was in the bedroom downstairs, there was even paper on the floor there with someone’s name on it from the prior stay. The pack and play and high chair I had rented and paid for and requested wasn't at the house upon arrival. Even though I made sure multiple times through the rental company that it would be there when we arrived as we had a 8 hour flight with two small children. The manager did come later that night with the pack and play as my infant had no where to sleep however a refund or another rental house was not a option and we were forced to stay in the dirty home. We spent the entire night cleaning the sheets and comforters as they didn’t look or smell clean. The following day the company sent a cleaner in to go over the house without even letting us know prior to the cleaners arrival even though we had spent that entire night cleaning the house so we could sleep in a clean home. When we spoke to the manager the company only offered a one night refund ( which is horrible as our entire stay we had to deal with the broken things in the home or agree to have people come in fixing things our entire trip there ) OR pool heat OR a extra night with late checkout which was useless to us as the pool water was warm down there with the temperature and the other option was also useless as we would of had to rebook our flights just to stay there a extra day in a home that had multiple things broken in it. The customer service has been horrible to deal with so far they were great up until we had issues with our house and I still haven’t been able to get a proper response from some

The house is amazing. It was everything we expected and more. Private pool, full kitchen and seating, washer and dryer, spacious, cooking utensils, spacious, and the host is available when needed. My family and I will definitely book again!!!

However, we were not impressed with the property overall. The waterpark and amenties were very overcrowded and difficult to use comfortably. (We were here over spring break timeframe.) The home itself needs updating and minor repairs (shower clogged, toilet constantly running, tv damaged, mold in shower tile, upstairs carpet very worn). The property looks considerably larger in the posted pictures than it actually is. Some other pros were the management company was quick to respond to any questions, parking was ample and pool heater worked great for late night swimming.
